‘Big Game’ promotions start early with Terrible’s ‘Football Frenzy’

Next weekend is the Super Bowl, so we can look forward to a variety of football-related promotions and parties (some by invitation only, others open to every one over 21). Please note that casinos are forbidden by NFL copyright to use the words “Super Bowl” in their advertising, which is why you see a variety of other terms such as “The Big Game.”

Terrible’s “Football Frenzy” runs from Wednesday through Feb. 1. Players earning 1,000 base points ($1,000 coin-in; no point redemption required) receive a football containing surprise gifts of up to $1,000 cash, free play, comps or gift items. You can earn up to five footballs per day. From Thursday through Feb. 25, Terrible’s also is running a “$50,000 Hearts of Cash Giveaway.” At 7 p.m., 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Wednesdays, the casino will select 10 winners to select a heart containing $250-$10,000 in cash or free play. Check at the booth or read the rules as to how to earn entries.

Both the Bighorn and Longhorn casinos are giving away $1,000 on Mondays and Thursdays this month as well as $2,500 on Saturday and $5,000 on Jan. 31. Check at the promotions booth as to how to earn tickets and exact drawing times.

The doors open at 8 a.m. for Monday’s $100,000 Bingo Bash at the Suncoast, Sam’s Town and the Gold Coast. Warm-up games begin at 11 a.m. and the linked Bash games begin at noon. Entry fee is $100 (includes one 9-on pack and one dual daub coverall) with additional 6-on packs at $20.

Hooters Hotel will have a $5,000 drawing on Jan. 31. From Monday through Jan. 31, players receive one drawing entry for every 200 points ($300 coin-in) earned on their Owl Reward cards or for every two hours of rated table play ($5 minimum bet). Please check the rules for exact drawing times.

Orleans players earning 1,000 points ($1,000 coin-in; no point redemption required) from Sunday through Thursday will receive a free jacket.

Cannery players earning 499 points ($167 coin-in on slots, $250 coin-in on video poker; no point redemption required) on Saturday will receive a kitchen chopper. Those earning 999 points on Tuesday will receive a trinket box containing up to $1,000 cash.
