Phish to air Sphere finale live from Las Vegas

Given the fight-weekend logistics of navigating the Strip, Britney Spears might have done fans a favor by injuring her ankle Wednesday. Either way, Friday and Saturday’s performances of her “Piece of Me” show has been canceled.

The 33-year-old pop star “injured her ankle during her performance Wednesday evening and her doctor has advised her not to perform Friday and Saturday evening so that she may heal,” Caesars Entertainment executives said in a statement.

Ticketmaster and the Planet Hollywood box office will contact ticket holders to offer refunds or exchanges. Those with questions are encouraged to call 800-745-3000.
