Casinos, poker bars offer NASCAR tie-ins

Still trying to get tickets to next weekend’s NASCAR UAW-Dodge 400 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway? Several casinos are still offering tickets to their best customers, so check with your host. Members of The Club at South Point can pick up (while supplies last) two free tickets to the Feb. 29 qualifying day by showing their card at The Club booth. Or you may consider spending March 2 cheering on hometown favorite Kurt Busch at any PT’s Pub or Sierra Gold. If Busch wins, then all customers receive a free Miller Lite draft and $20 in free play. You can meet Kurt at the Palms on Feb. 29 from 7:30-8:30 p.m.

Club Coast members earning 10,000 points ($10,000-$20,000 coin-in; no point redemption required) at Sam’s Town by the end of the month can pick up a free logo jacket. Players hitting a royal flush or top slot jackpot (or other jackpots as posted in the casino) also will receive a jacket. There is a limit of one jacket per person.

Ellis Island players can now earn Magic Key scratch cards for a chance to win up to $400,000 in cash. This promotion runs through May 8 and features $40,000, $4,000 as well as other smaller cash prizes. Check at the promotions booth for specific details regarding how to obtain a scratch card.

Hit a $1,000-plus jackpot at the Fremont and receive a “Grand Winner” T-shirt. The casino also is running a “Gift of the Month” blackjack promotion for players receiving 21 naturals in 24 hours. There is a minimum $10 bet and a validation card, that can be obtained in the pit, is required.

Fitzgeralds is celebrating its sixth anniversary (under the operation of Don H. Barden) this weekend.

Station Casinos are now offering “Million $ Bingo,” a new cash ball game at Palace Station, Boulder Station, Texas Station, Sunset Station, Santa Fe Station, Green Valley Ranch and Red Rock Resort. There are five cash balls at every session, and all will be in play during the second through 11th games of each session, even if one has been hit during a previous game. Players hitting bingo on a cash ball receive a $100 bonus. And if one or more of the other numbers that make up their winning sequence also were called on a cash ball, they could win a $500 to $1,000,000 bonus.

In the Las Vegas Valley, the chances of getting a white Christmas are slim. But this year, you can have a “Knight” Christmas. A Henderson resident has a Christmas lights display that is synchronized to the entrance music for the Golden Knights. GG Misa’s Knights light show is played every 30 minutes from 5 to 10 nightly. His light show consists of two songs: Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You” and the entrance music, “Le Castle Vania,” from the movie “John Wick.” The display is located at 730 Bollons Island St. (Richard Brian/Las Vegas Reivew-Journal)
