ELECTRIC DAISY CARNIVAL FIZZLES ON SECOND NIGHT AS WINDS SHUT DOWN STAGES

A wind-whipped Electric Daisy Carnival shut down early Sunday morning after a two-hour stoppage that disappointed fans who wanted to dance until sunrise.  High winds halted the second night of performances at the three-night festival when fan safety became a concern. Stages were shut down at 1 a.m. in the middle of performances and fans were sent to the grandstands – away from the towering stages – at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Carnival rides were also closed.  (Photo courtesy © Erik Kabik/ erikkabik.com)
