Even before the first featured wines were sipped, Steve Wynn provided the buzz at the Sinatra Family Estates’ wine dinner Friday at Encore’s Sinatra restaurant.
Wynn had the soldout event buzzing when he arrived with Andre Hissom on his arm, the first confirmation that he and the British divorcee had reconciled after their breakup several months ago.
Many attendees were seen taking photos of Wynn and his girlfriend. The couple recently rendezvoused at an exotic location in the Far East, Vegas Confidential has learned.
While Wynn offered a brief welcoming speech, Hissom waited near the lounge and Wynn did not introduce her. Moments after Wynn finished his speech, and turned the mic over to Tina Sinatra and Frank’s granddaughter Amanda Erlinger (Nancy Sinatra’s daughter), Wynn was seen leaving the restaurant with a bottle of Sinatra wine and Hissom.
Wynn shared several Sinatra stories and said his Sinatra restaurant is the restaurant "closest to my heart" because of his long friendship with ‘Ol Blue Eyes.
The five-course dinner prepared by chef Theo Schoenegger, who cooked for Sinatra in the early 1990s, included cocktails and canapes in the courtyard featuring the "Sinatra Smash" signature cocktail and Taittinger, "La Francaise," Brut Champagne.
Dinner began with Gamberi a Cannellli alla Toscana: three Santa Barbara spot prawns amid cannellini beans in rosemary oil.
Then came the agnolotti, tiny pillows of pasta stuffed with bufala ricotta, fine herbs and summer truffle.
That was followed by a beef tenderloin with porcini mushrooms and red wine braised spring onions. The "Fly Me to the Moon" cabernet sauvignon from Napa accompanied the prodigious slab of beef.
Dessert was a white chocolate Grand marnier mousse, with citrus salad and tangerine sorbet. The mousse was shaped like Frank’s signature fedora.
