Coast Casinos giving away $100,000; Terrible’s rolls out prize drums

This weekend and next all four Coast Casinos (Sam’s Town, Orleans, Suncoast and Gold Coast) are each giving away $100,000. The drawings (winners must be present) will take place at 8:15 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and each features a $10,000 top prize. Please check out the rules regarding how to earn entries.

Every Wednesday in March, Terrible’s will draw 40 names to win $200-$750. Players have their choice of three prize drums (each giving away different amounts of money and each requiring a different number of points per entry) and can begin earning entries on Sunday. The drawings will take place every half-hour, 7-9 p.m., and players need not be present to win. The casino also is giving away a six-piece spa set to players earning 750 base points ($750 coin-in; no point redemption required) on Saturdays.

On Saturday, Cannery players earning 999 points ($333 coin-in on slots, $500 on video poker) can win up to $1,000 in cash. You also can swipe your card today and Saturday for a chance to win up to $15,000 cash.

The Plaza and Vegas Club have combined their players clubs so that points earned at either casino go into one account. The formula remains the same: $1 coin-in (all machines) equals one point and every 500 points can be redeemed for $1 in cash or $1.25 in comps. Players also can earn points toward merchandise. Direct mail offers will remain separate and will be based on whichever property the player designates as his primary casino. All new players club sign-ups receive a $5 matchplay coupon.

On April 25, Binion’s will give away $20,000 including a $9,000 first prize (paid over six months). Players need not be present at the drawings and can earn entries playing the slots, video poker and table games.

Anyone showing a players club card from a major Strip casino when they sign up for a Riviera Player’s Club card will receive a free breakfast or lunch buffet.

The El Cortez is bringing back its popular wallet promotion next month. All through March, players hitting a $200-plus jackpot on slots or a $300-plus jackpot on video poker will receive a prize ticket redeemable for a wallet containing $10-$1,000 in free play. All winners also receive an entry into the weekly Saturday night drawing for a 40-inch LCD TV or one of four $500 prizes.

Bonus Point Days: Casino Royale (Club Royale): 2x 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and 8-11 p.m., 3x 7-9 a.m. and 4-7 p.m.; Ellis Island (Passport Players Club): 6x Sundays and Tuesdays, 5x Fridays (some machines excluded); Eldorado (Prime Rewards): 3x March 11 and 25, 4x March 16, 5x March 15; Gold Coast (Club Coast): 5x Fridays; Golden Gate (Club 1906): 2x Tuesdays and Thursdays; Hacienda (Club Matador): 2x Mondays and Wednesdays, 4x Tuesdays; Jerry’s Nugget (More Club): 5x Mondays, 3x Tuesdays and Thursdays; Jokers Wild (Prime Rewards): 3x March 11 and 25, 4x March 16, 5x March 15; Railroad Pass (Players Junction): 2x Mondays, 3x Tuesdays; Rampart (Club Rampart): 2x Saturday; Silver Nugget (Slot Club): 2x every day; Terrible’s (Players Club): 3x Thursdays and Sundays, 5x (slots only) Mondays, 10x (slots only) Wednesdays; Tuscany (Players Club): 10x Thursdays, 5x Sundays and Wednesdays, 5x Monday-Friday 12 a.m.-5 a.m. (some machines excluded).

Vegas Golden Knights Christmas Display
In the Las Vegas Valley, the chances of getting a white Christmas are slim. But this year, you can have a “Knight” Christmas. A Henderson resident has a Christmas lights display that is synchronized to the entrance music for the Golden Knights. GG Misa’s Knights light show is played every 30 minutes from 5 to 10 nightly. His light show consists of two songs: Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You” and the entrance music, “Le Castle Vania,” from the movie “John Wick.” The display is located at 730 Bollons Island St. (Richard Brian/Las Vegas Reivew-Journal)
