Interpol has long been at the forefront of the New, New Wave, mining the best of post-punk ’80s depressives like Joy Division, a feat that’s akin to fashioning some natty new threads from well-worn fabrics. Their latest, self-titled disc is a back-to-basics affair, lean-sounding and as business-minded as its title suggests.
See Interpol at 9 p.m. today at The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel, 4455 Paradise Road. Tickets are $29.50-$33; call 693-5583.
