Be bold, courageous with We Came as Romans
October 3, 2013 - 9:50 pm
“Why do I feel so alone?” We Came As Romans frontman Kyle Pavone asks on the first track from the band’s latest disc, “Tracing Back Roots.”
Not sure you’d feel that way, guy, as the ranks of melodic metalcore bands with dark, pulsating electronics have become increasingly overstuffed.
Still, this bunch has managed to distinguish itself by working diligently to perfect this formula as opposed to deviating from it.
To this end, “Tracing Back Roots” is the band’s most tightly honed, radio-friendly album yet, with songs such as “I Survive” designed to be so intensely rousing, you’ll be inspired to do something incredibly bold and courageous, like fistfight a yeti or attempt to eat but one Lay’s potato chip.
