There are times when their songs barely feel like songs at all.
Wisps of guitar echo, a spare beat and the gentle voices of Oliver Sim and Romy Madley Croft come together and drift apart in The XX’s skeletal indie rock.
This is a band that relies on small gestures to convey big emotions.
Sometimes you feel like you’re listening in on a private conversation, such is the intimacy on the group’s recently released sophomore disc, “Coexist.”
Embarking on their first North American tour, The XX are coming to the Boulevard Pool at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, where the crowd chatter could rival the volume of their hushed tunes.
