Get revved up with Sister Sin

Sweden boasts a proud tradition of dirtbag hard rockers (Backyard Babies, The Hellacopters, Mustache), pioneering metal bands (Entombed, In Flames, At The Gates) and the vodka that catalyzes much of both.

Combining all three is Sister Sin, a female-fronted quartet who favor revved up, stripped down rock ’n’ roll with a no-nonsense, old school bent.

“What’s hot and new? Never cared, won’t ever do,” frontwoman Liv Jagrell announces on “In It For Life,” from the group’s latest disc, “Now and Forever.”

Doesn’t sound like your thing?

“If you don’t like it, you can kiss my ass,” Jagrell offers helpfully later in the song.

Pucker up, cupcakes.
