It’s been quite a while since the Judds graced the stage, nearly half a decade to be precise, and the beloved country music family has announced plans to perform together again here in Las Vegas later this fall.
With the Reba, Brooks & Dunn residency, the upcoming Route 91 Harvest Country Music Festival, Last Cowboy Standing, the music portion of the PBR World Finals and the National Finals Rodeo, plus intimate appearances from country music stars like Kenny Chesney and strong showings from emerging country stars like Brantley Gilbert and Chris Young, it’s not surprising that the legendary ladies chose Vegas to reconvene for the first time since 2010-2011’s Last Encore Tour. Las Vegas is a country music hotbed.
“Over the years people have asked me about a Judds reunion and I have always said the door is open,” said Wynonna in a release issued by the Venetian and AEG Live earlier today. “When this opportunity was presented to me, I looked at it as an incredible chance to celebrate my mom. I have a new album coming out soon and this is the perfect way to honor the roots that gave me the wings to fly.”
“This show is for the fans — the fans that I have missed every single day since leaving the stage,” the release quotes Naomi as saying. “Every artist goes through a time in their career where they feel that it’s time to call it quits, but once it’s in your blood and you’re still able to do it, you can’t not do it. It will be the thrill of my life to join Wynonna on the stage again in Las Vegas, the entertainment capital of the world!”
Tickets for the Judd’s nine-show residency at The Venetian, which kicks off on Wednesday, Oct. 7 and plays Oct. 10, 13, 14, 16, 17, 21, 23 and 24, begin at $59.50 and will be available for purchase this Friday at 10 a.m., in person through the Venetian and Palazzo box offices or online at Venetian.com/thejudds or via phone at 866-641-7469.
