Kaskade, Pauly D on weekend club lineup

It is insane how many DJ-producers I’ve interviewed this year. But all of them have been enjoyable – every single one of them. I wish I could say the same for all rockers, pop and country stars, athletes and actors. I can’t.

Anyway, here’s your weekend lineup, plus a few of my favorite quotes that DJs have given me in 2012:

■ Morgan Page performs tonight at Surrender. He told me that when he looks for female vocalists, in particular, he seeks women who have “sawdust to their voice.”

“You listen to them and go, ‘Who is that? I haven’t heard that voice before.’ Somehow I missed the boat on Adele, though. That’s too bad. She would have been a good one.”

Also performing today: Keidy and Lema at Marquee Dayclub. Alesso at Marquee. Mike Attack at Moon. Benny Black at Rain. Devin Lucien at Hyde Bellagio.

■ Kaskade headlines Saturday at Marquee nightclub. He still has his native Chicago accent, even as he divides his time between L.A. and Vegas.

“I grew up in Chicago, so I’m still freaked out when there’s five days of sun in a row,” he said.

Also performing Saturday: Avicii at Marquee Dayclub. Calvin Harris at XS. Roger Sanchez at Rain. Nelly at Haze. Busta Rhymes at Tao. Javier Alba at Hard Rock pool. Lil Jon at Surrender. Loczi at Vanity. OB-One at Hyde Bellagio.

■ Pauly D performs Sunday at Hard Rock Hotel’s Rehab dayclub. His spiky hairdo reminds me of Guile from the “Street Fighter” video games. I asked him how much goo is in his hair.

“A lot! It takes me 25 minutes. I do it myself,” he said.

Also performing Sunday: Calvin Harris at Surrender. Dirty South at Marquee Dayclub. Markus Schulz, winner of DJ Times’ “America’s Best DJ,” at Marquee with A-Trak. Brett Rubin at ghostbar. Manufactured Superstars at XS.

■ And the Nervo twins perform Monday (Columbus Day) at XS nightclub. Liv Nervo told me they are on planes so often, touring city to city, that there’s only one way she’s learned to sleep well.

“We’re busy, busy girls. We’re constantly writing, we’re constantly working. I’ve gotten used to flying on planes. I can sleep standing up now,” she said.

Also performing Monday: Armin van Buuren at Marquee. Mika Gold at Hard Rock pool.

Vegas Golden Knights Christmas Display
In the Las Vegas Valley, the chances of getting a white Christmas are slim. But this year, you can have a “Knight” Christmas. A Henderson resident has a Christmas lights display that is synchronized to the entrance music for the Golden Knights. GG Misa’s Knights light show is played every 30 minutes from 5 to 10 nightly. His light show consists of two songs: Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You” and the entrance music, “Le Castle Vania,” from the movie “John Wick.” The display is located at 730 Bollons Island St. (Richard Brian/Las Vegas Reivew-Journal)
