Olive oil subject of seminar at Nora's

"Demystifying Olive Oil" will be the topic of a seminar from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at Nora's Wine Bar & Osteria, 1031 S. Rampart Blvd. It will cover varietals of olives as they relate to oil, flavor profiles of various oils, getting what you pay for when selecting olive oils and more. Emeril Lagasse's Table 10 has opened at Palazzo, 3325 Las Vegas Blvd. South, serving a varied menu of such Emeril favorites as Pasta Jambalaya and grilled dry-aged Angus rib-eye, plus lobster pot pie, oyster croquettes, lamb sliders and more. Specialties include roasted chicken enchiladas with mole poblano and salsa verde and Chilean sea bass Veracruzano. Lunch is served from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays, brunch from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays and dinner from 4 to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 4 p.m. to midnight Fridays and Saturdays. A bourbon-pairing dinner is scheduled from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Wednesday at Twin Creeks at the Silverton, 3333 Blue Diamond Road. Fred Booker Noe, master distiller and great-grandson of Jim Beam, will speak. The three-course dinner with four specialty cocktails is $85 per person; tickets are available at the restaurant.
