See Rascal Flatts enter their Hard Rock residency Feb. 25

Rascal Flatts fans can see the group — for free at 3:30 Wednesday — as the band enters the Hard Rock Hotel in country style to promote upcoming shows.

Rascal Flatts starts a residency at the Hard Rock on Wednesday night, but I couldn’t make the AXS.com ticket site work on my Android tablet Monday, so that’s a heads-up to fans, AXS and Hard Rock Hotel.

Anyhow, here’s how the Wednesday afternoon promotion will go. Some 50 musicians from Foothill High School’s marching band will perform the Rascal Flatts song “Fast Cars and Freedom,” from the Joint concert venue to the hotel entrance.

Then Rascal Flatts will show up in Richard Petty NASCAR race cars, say “hi” and walk to the Joint while the marching band plays “Life is a Highway.”
