Ashley “Ash” Williams is back and it’s pretty … groovy.

Starz has released the first image of Bruce Campbell’s chainsaw-handed zombie slayer in the new TV series “Ash vs. Evil Dead.”

Campbell is reprising his cult classic role more than 20 years following Sam Raimi’s “Evil Dead” trilogy which ended in 1992 with “Army of Darkness.”

The plot of the series won’t surprise you: “Ash has spent the last 30 years avoiding responsibility, maturity and the terrors of the Evil Dead until a Deadite plague threatens to destroy all of mankind and Ash becomes mankind’s only hope,” IMDb.com writes.

And once again, Ash had his hand — the good one, anyway — in the apocalypse, Sam Raimi told Entertainment Weekly.

So, sit back with your Necronomicon because Ash’s adventures continue this fall on Starz.
