Strip Tips: Public House at Luxor offering low-calorie items

Bar food is so fattening, said every woman who ever dieted. Well, not anymore, ladies.

Public House in the Luxor is offering a "female-friendly" food menu from 9 p.m. to midnight Thursdays. You've got your chicken vegetable wraps, humus salad and vegetables galore. You can wash those low-calorie items down with $10 cocktails made with Skinnygirl liquors. These are low-calorie libations made famous by Real Housewife Bethenny Frankel.

A DJ will be on hand to provide just the right musical mood, too. For more information, call 262-4525 or visit publichouselasvegas.com.

Rugby specials

Rugby lovers, head over to USA Sevens' headquarters at PBR Rock Bar and Grill in the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort.

From Wednesday through Feb. 10, PBR will offer several specials and opportunities for rugby fans. Kick off the tournament Wednesday with the Tailgate After Party from 1 to 6 p.m. Beer specials are priced at $6. From 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Thursday, guests get open bar access for the USA Sevens Official After Party. Admission is $40 per person. For more specials and events, visit pbrrockbar.com or call 750-1685.

Heart health

Don't miss the 600-pound heart today at "Bodies … The Exhibition" in the Luxor. Yes, a 600-pound heart. It will receive a welcome reception by high school students and a heart coach, who will talk about how to protect your heart's health. Then, guests can get their blood pressure and blood glucose checked for free from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The health fair and heart sculpture are in honor of National Heart Month.
