The Housing and Urban Development secretary (Kiefer Sutherland) becomes president when an attack levels the Capitol during the State of the Union in “Designated Survivor” (10 p.m. Wednesday, ABC).

‘The Good Place’

A horrible person (Kristen Bell) is mistakenly let into heaven by an administrator (Ted Danson) in the comedy “The Good Place” (10 p.m. Monday, NBC).

‘New Girl’

‘Midway’ motors to box office lead on sluggish weekend for movies
