Fulton County, GA —– A metro Atlanta woman has been sentenced to 10 years probation for stalking a star of “The Walking Dead.”
According to the Fulton County District Attorney, 25-year-old Kathryn Boykin pleaded guilty to aggravated stalking for harassing actor Daniel May and his wife.
May appears in the TV show, which is filmed in the Atlanta area.
According to the district attorney, Boykin appeared “outside the victims’ Synchronicity Theater” in December 2013 holding a sign that read, “Shut Down Synchronicity,” and other “disparaging remarks about May’s wife.” At the time of the incident, Boykin was already under a protective order telling her to stay away from the couple.
The district attorney said Boykin started harassing the actor and his wife in December 2006 through email, social media accounts and websites. The harassment included false accusations of crimes and spreading lies, according to the district attorney.
After pleading guilty, Boykin was sentenced to 10 years probation and is permanently restrained from any contact with May, his wife and children. Boykin is also not allowed to use the internet during her sentence and must maintain her mental health medication and treatment, according to the district attorney.
