Las Vegas Review-Journal Metro/Business Reporting Internships – Summer 2025

The Las Vegas Review-Journal is offering summer Metro/Business reporting internships. We’re looking for ambitious, inquisitive and enthusiastic reporters who are eager to use shoe leather to help cover breaking news in this vibrant city while contributing impactful enterprise.

Our ideal candidates are near graduation or recent college graduates who have completed at least one previous internship or have experience working for a college publication or other professional news organization. We’re especially interested in applicants who speak fluent Spanish. Candidates should be able to generate original story ideas, handle breaking news assignments, shoot video and be active on all social media platforms.

Start and end dates for the internships are flexible, but we’re looking for candidates who are able to work between 10 and 12 weeks in the summer.

Las Vegas is as dynamic a news market as anywhere in the country, and the Review-Journal is the area’s dominant news source. Southern Nevada is home to about 2.3 million people, plus up to 200,000 visitors on any given day. It is a diverse metro area with a vibrant downtown and cultural scene, and it’s a half-day drive or less to some of the West’s most spectacular outdoor recreation and national parks.

The Review-Journal is an equal-opportunity employer and a drug-free workplace. A pre-employment drug screening is mandatory. A reliable vehicle is required for reporting internships. The internships pay $15 per hour plus mileage reimbursement.

The deadline to apply for 2025 summer internships is Dec. 13, 2024.

To apply, send a cover letter, resume and three to five work samples to Assistant Managing Editor – Metro & Business Carri Geer at cgeer@reviewjournal.com.
