MARINE ANNIVERSARY

MINIATURE ENTHUSIASTS

The Las Vegas Miniature Enthusiasts Club will have its monthly meeting at 10 a.m. Saturday at Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, 6670 W. Cheyenne Ave. The group is open to those interested in making or collecting dollhouse miniatures (876-5637).

CASTING CALL

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas Department of Film will have its spring 2008 open casting call for short film productions. The event, open to actors of all types and experience, will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday in Classroom Building Complex A-110 on campus, 4505 S. Maryland Parkway. LECTURE

Professor David Wrobel of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas will present "A World of Clashing Darwinisms," focusing on the debate over Darwinian science and the applications of evolutionary theory to human society in the late 19th century. The lecture, sponsored by the Nevada Humanities Speakers Bureau, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Las Vegas Library, 833 Las Vegas Blvd. North. The free event is open to the public (258-1587).

HUMANIST ASSOCIATION

The Humanist Association of Las Vegas and Southern Nevada, a group for ethical agnostics and atheists, will meet at 2 p.m. Sunday in the program room at the Las Vegas Library, 833 Las Vegas Blvd. North (258-1587).
