WOMEN'S GROUPS

PROGRESSIVE SOCIAL GROUP

The SW Las Vegas Chapter of Drinking Liberally, an informal, left-leaning progressive social group that talks politics, meets at 7 p.m. Mondays at Torino's Sports Pub & Restaurant, 5570 W. Flamingo Road (460-0973).

SENIORS GROUP

The Society of Single Seniors and Widowed Persons will meet for lunch at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Sourdough Cafe at Arizona Charlie's, 740 S. Decatur Blvd. Reservations are necessary (362-0296).

RPEN MEETING

The Las Vegas chapter of the Retired Public Employees of Nevada will meet at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the American Legion, 733 Veterans Memorial Drive. The guest speaker is from Weight Watchers. The meeting is open to the public (256-9764).

CANCER SCREENINGS

St. Rose Dominican Hospital offers free breast cancer screenings and services to uninsured and underinsured women ages 40 and younger (616-7525).

Mammovan for Nevada offers free mammograms to low-income women age 40 and older in the Las Vegas area. Appointments are necessary (877-581-6266).
