SIGNINGS

Stephen Grogan will sign and discuss "Vegas Die" and "Captain Cooked" at 1 p.m. Saturday at Barnes & Noble, 2191 N. Rainbow Blvd.

Judy McFadden will give a reading and sign copies of "Life with McDuff: Lessons Learned from a Therapy Dog" 1-4 p.m. Saturday at Borders at Town Square, 6521 Las Vegas Blvd. South.

EVENTS

The Sun City Writers' Workshop will present a book fair featuring authors, book signings and readings, noon-3 p.m. today at Desert Vista Community Center, 10360 Sun City Blvd. The first 100 guests will receive a gift book. Admission is free.

"An Evening with Karin Slaughter: Suspense, Crime Fiction and Libraries" will be presented 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Clark County Library, 1401 E. Flamingo Road. A book signing and reception will follow the talk.

The Mahogany Circle Book Club meets at 11 a.m. the first Saturday of the month at the Clark County Library, 1401 E. Flamingo Road.

The Sahara West Book Discussion Group meets at 5:30 p.m. the last Thursday of each month at Sahara West Library, 9600 W. Sahara Ave.

The Rainbow Book Club meets at 2 p.m. the first Tuesday of each month at Rainbow Library, 3150 N. Buffalo Drive.

OTHER ACTIVITIES

Borders bookstore, 2190 N. Rainbow Blvd., has a writers' group at 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays.

The Henderson Writers Group meets at 6:30 p.m. the second and fourth Mondays of the month at Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf in the Running Rebel Plaza, 4550 S. Maryland Parkway; and the first, third and fifth Mondays of the month at Saxby's Coffee Lounge, 72 Horizon Ridge Parkway, Henderson.

STORY TIMES

Story time with music and crafts is offered Tuesdays at 11 a.m. at Barnes & Noble, 567 N. Stephanie St., Henderson.

Story time in the Square is offered at 11 a.m. Wednesdays in Children's Park at Town Square Las Vegas, 6605 Las Vegas Blvd. South.
