Decisions, decisions. When the beauty trends debut each season, there are always so many options to choose from. Rather than present a buffet of hairstyles, eye shadow looks, lipstick colors and nail polish shades, we broke down the trends into two categories.

You'll notice they fall on opposite ends of the beauty salon. One is subtle and whispered, the other extreme and loud. One purrs, the other growls.

You might pick up one and stay with it or decide you want to borrow from both. That's up to you. We don't apply the trends, we just present them. Here are spring 2010's best beauty trends.
