Hail to the Queen

Whether she's stealing scenes on the big screen, rapping over a hip-hop track or brightening up a Cover Girl ad, Queen Latifah proves that big is undoubtedly beautiful. Shown here promoting "Hairspray" on the "Today" show, the full-figured rapper turned actress combines some of fall's most exciting trends while making the most of her delicious curves.

Latifah starts with a popcorn-textured pencil skirt in mocha and white that hits right below the knees. She understands that to balance her proportions, she needs some volume on top, so she couples her skirt with a metallic gold silk blouse with bubble sleeves. Without some volume, the eye would have been drawn to her hips and the texture of Latifah's skirt would have overpowered her top half.

Notice the blouse's neckline. It creates room for big accessories (hoops and a long chain necklace) and lets a whisper of cleavage show. The Oscar nominee's face instantly gets a pretty frame.

Let your eyes follow the skirt's narrow line all the way down and you have a T-strap sandal that adds just the right dose of dazzle to hold its own with this outfit.

And they say plus-size dressing presents plus-size challenges. Not if you're the Queen. If you want to mimic her majesty's smart style, it will cost you a mere $386.12. A royal deal, if you ask us.
