Every year since 1878, children have rolled Easter eggs across the South Lawn of the White House on Easter Monday. Only poor weather or war cancelled the family festivities. The pastels of this holiday bring brightly decorated eggs and candies that find their ways into baskets as well as in hiding places for a hunt. These same colors inspire cosmetics as well.
