Show Us Your Purse

■ Who? Seema Sadekar, professional golfer

■ Location: Dragon Ridge Country Club golf course

■ Handbag: Fendi shoulder bag

■ Are handbags status symbols? Yes, I think a handbag is the most prominent and valued accessory for women. Most accessories are small additions to an outfit, but a great handbag can totally make the look. One of my favorite quotes from "Sex and the City" is when Samantha says, "You can't swing a Fendi purse without knocking out five losers."

■ What does this bag say about you? It says that I have a love for fashion and style, and value the quality of such a beautifully crafted piece of art that I'm able to carry with me every day.

■ If someone found your bag and looked inside, what would they think of you? I think people would think I'm a girly girl who loves to golf. You'll find everything from golf tees and makeup to sugar and Michael Jackson hair clips in my purse.

■ What's the most important item you've carried in your bag? My Chanel lip gloss. I always have it in my handbag, plus I have a backup in my custom-made sparkly golf bag which is my next best purse and accessory.

■ What's the strangest item you've carried in your bag? Splenda sugar packets from Starbucks

■ Tell us about the first special bag you owned. My sister bought me the most amazing Chloe handbag when I won my first collegiate golf tournament at Brigham Young University. I came close many times, but when I finally captured my first collegiate win it was a fabulous gift.

■ Knockoffs: Love 'em or hate 'em? Hate 'em. They don't make me feel as special as when I am carrying the real deal. I like my purse how I like my men: cute, sturdy, risky, stands out and goes with all my outfits.

■ Image is ... using your personal creativity. Image creates character, brings out your personality and can tell people who you are.

■ What's in your bag? Michael Jackson hair clips, Minx bracelet, Chanel lip gloss, golf tees, iPhone, hand sanitizer.
