Are handbags status symbols? For some people they are, but I look at them as collectible, wearable pieces of art.
What does this bag say about you? That I prefer well-made, timeless pieces that are large enough to carry everything I need from the office to an evening out.
If someone found your bag and looked inside, what would they think of you? That I am well-organized and a bit old-fashioned. I still schedule my appointments using a pen and planner.
What's the most important item you've carried in your bag? It's a tie -- my cell phone and planner. Without both, I'd be in trouble because I would overschedule myself with patients.
What's the strangest item you've carried in your bag? Fortunes from fortune cookies. I can never make myself throw them away so I wind up with tons of them in my handbags.
Tell us about the first special bag you owned. It was a small Coach clutch that I bought when working retail in high school. I was so excited to buy it and actually still have it in my closet.
Knockoffs: Love 'em or hate 'em? Personally, I would not buy a knock-off handbag but I believe people should buy whatever makes them feel good.
Image is ... important. It is the first impression you give to the world and, as cliche as it sounds, you may not get a second chance.
What's in your bag? Planner, sunglasses, wallet, business card case, cosmetic pouch, cell phone.
