Lowe’s clinic lets kids personalize gift cards

Lowe’s is inviting families to combine their talents to create personal gifts this holiday season. At 10 a.m. Saturday, stores nationwide will host a Build & Grow Clinic, a free workshop for children in grades two through five.

While at the in-store clinic, children will build a football goalpost they can enjoy during the upcoming holidays. An adult must attend the clinic with the child to assist with the project.

Additionally, children will receive a gift card kit that allows them to create holiday-themed artwork that can be made into a Lowe’s gift card. The kit includes instructions, drawing paper and a self-addressed, stamped envelope. Once the drawing is completed, parents send it to be scanned and receive an e-mail back with instructions on how to create the gift card at Lowes.com/giftcard. Creating the customized gift card, a greeting card and standard postage is free from Saturday through Dec. 8.

Participants also will receive instructions on how to build their own wood picture frame and wood box.

Each child will take home customizable gift card and project instructions, football goalpost, an apron, a Build & Grow patch, safety goggles, a name tag and a merit certificate.

Space is limited to 50 children per location. Advance registration is required and can be done by visiting a store or www.Lowes.com/BuildandGrow.
