What: Ikenobo Ikebana Society, Nevada Chapter, flower arranging workshop. Professor Hiroko Kawai, visiting from the Ikenobo headquarters in Kyoto, Japan, will lead the sessions. The first will be a shinputai rikka; also planned are a modern shoka and a freestyle design. Fresh flowers will be used.

What: Developing a design plan workshop. Developing a plan is key to successful home interior design. Busy schedules, budget constraints and changing trends can make designing your space a daunting task. A design plan brings a cohesive, simplified economy to the process. First part of a two-class series; the second class will be held June 26. During the session, members of the design team will help participants determine long-term and short-term needs.
