Red Rock Canyon, Wilson Tank: A moderate seven-mile hike with an 800-foot gain Saturday (515-5367).

The Las Vegas High Rollers and Strollers: Members of the American Volkssport Association will have an easy group walk at 7 a.m. Saturday. Meet at the Green Valley Horizon Chevron, 2200, W. Horizon Ridge Parkway, Henderson. Walk is suitable for baby strollers and wheelchairs (242-4105).

Sierra Club: Join the Southern Nevada Group Saturday for a strenuous, scrambling, five-mile round-trip hike with a 2,000-foot gain from Rocky Gap Summit, along the escarpment, then up the chute to Bridge Mountain. Contact George McDonald at 808-3855.

Get Outdoors Nevada: Register now for the following event. Two hundred volunteers are needed Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Red Rock Canyon Visitor Center, Red Springs, and Scenic Loop. Ages 14 and older will do trail work involving hiking and lifting and graffiti removal, children ages 5 through 13 can paint, plant and remove trash.
