Red Rock Canyon, Red Cap: Strenuous three- to four-mile hike Wednesday with some rock scrambling to the top of Red Cap in Calico Basin (515-5367).

Red Rock Canyon, Cathedral Rock/Little Falls: Moderate to strenuous four- to five-mile hike Friday with a 1,300-foot elevation gain through Mazie Canyon to the top of the rock at the head of Kyle Canyon (515-5367).

Red Rock Canyon, Calico Basin: Moderate three-plus mile hike Saturday from Red Spring, along Calico Hills to Ash Meadow Spring (515-5367).

Red Rock Canyon, stay healthy: Strenuous six-mile hike Saturday to Mount Charleston from Fletcher Canyon to Kyle Canyon (515-5367).

Around the Bend Friends: This group of people, 50 years and over, interested in hiking and related social activities will meet at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the Santa Fe Casino, South Parking Garage, 4949 N. Rancho Drive, on the left of Level 3, for a moderate three-hour hike at Mount Charleston. (642-2285).

Las Vegas Valley Bicycle Club: A 6:15 a.m. moderate to fast 15-20 mile, leader in front/leader sweeps, road ride is scheduled Wednesday through Desert Shores, Sun City and Summerlin.
