Red Rock Canyon: On Monday, come along on a moderately strenuous, five-mile hike to the Muffins at the north end of Blue Diamond Hill; for ages 12 and older.

Around the Bend Friends: This group of people 50 and older who are involved in hiking and related social activities plans several hikes each week of various difficulty levels, including an easy-to-moderate social hike on Saturdays. OTHER PROGRAMS

Red Rock Canyon: On Tuesday, create a masterpiece in an art class for ages 15 and older. All materials will be provided. On Wednesday, learn the traditional medicinal uses of some of the plants found along the Moenkopi Trail.

Mount Charleston: On Feb. 25, Las Vegas Ski & Snowboard Resort will host a ski and snowboard competition and party beginning at 6:30 p.m. Registration for the competition costs $50 and can be done online at www.skilasvegas.com, or at the resort from 3 to 4:30 p.m. on race day. Admission to the party is free.
