MUSIC

The Las Vegas Camerata featuring violinist DeAnn Letourneau, cellist Andrew Smith and pianist Sandra Rivers will perform at 3 p.m. Sunday at Mountain View Presbyterian Church, 8601 Del Webb Blvd. Admission is free, but a freewill offering will be taken (341-7800).

Dr. M. Zuhdi Jasser, chairman of the board of directors of the American Islamic Forum for Democracy and the narrator of the documentary "The Third Jihad," will speak at Temple Beth Sholom, 10700 Havenwood Lane, at 4:30 p.m. Sunday (804-1333).

St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church, 5300 S. El Camino Road, will celebrate its 50th anniversary with Great Vespers and Artoclasia at 5 p.m. today followed by a Greek Village dinner dance at 6:30 p.m. The fee is $50. On Sunday, the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy and Memorial Service will be at 10 a.m. followed by a champagne brunch. General admission is $20; $10 for children younger than 12. Green Valley Presbyterian Church, 1798 Wigwam Parkway, Henderson, will have a Swap Meet & Craft Show featuring handmade items, holiday decorations, food and gently used items, 7 a.m.-2:30 p.m. today (454-8484).

Christ Church Episcopal, 2000 S. Maryland Parkway, will have its annual Lobster Fair featuring live and cooked lobsters, silent and live auctions, and entertainment, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. today (735-7655).

"Chosen Garment -- The Whole Bible In One Act," a dramatic presentation by Steven Mosely, will be performed at 6 p.m. Sunday at Holy Spirit Church, 6670 W. Cheyenne Ave. A chili dinner will precede the presentation at 5 p.m. Tickets are $8 and are available during church office hours and after worship services (645-1777).

Reformation Lutheran Church, 580 E. St. Louis Ave., is having a holiday bazaar and bake sale 9:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Oct. 24 (732-2052).

Women of the Vine of Mountain View Presbyterian Church will have a fall bazaar featuring jewelry, original art, ornaments, baked goods, drawings and more, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Oct. 24 at 8601 Del Webb Blvd. (341-7800).

Author Mitch Albom will discuss his book, "Have a Little Faith: A True Story," and host a reception at 7 p.m. Oct. 25 at Temple Beth Sholom, 10700 Havenwood Lane. A VIP meet-and-greet will be at 6 p.m. Reserved seating is $54 for Jewish Community Center and Temple Beth Sholom members and $60 for nonmembers. First Presbyterian Church, 1515 W. Charleston Blvd., will have a fall festival featuring dinner, pumpkin carving, a chili cook-off, game booths and children's activities, 6-8 p.m. Oct. 29.
