The United Methodist Church, 1300 E. Highway 327, Pahrump, will have a “9-11 Remembrance” day beginning at 8:30 a.m. Friday. The day will open with a memorial dedication and flag raising, followed by a brief message and reflection or prayer beginning at 9 a.m. and repeating every half-hour. Greater Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church, 1915 Lexington St., will celebrate its 55th anniversary Friday through Sept. 13. The church will have a concert featuring the male choirs of Greater Carver M.B. Church, Greater Evergreen M.B. Church, First A.M.E. Church and Zion ministries at 7 p.m. Friday.
