Peoples Valley Chorus is seeking new members during rehearsals for Mendelssohn’s “Elijah” at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Anderson Hall at Guardian Angel Cathedral, 336 Cathedral Way, and 10 a.m. Oct. 4 at Green Valley Presbyterian Church, 1798 Wigwam Parkway, Henderson (565-5060).

The Israel @ 60 celebration featuring a concert by the Las Vegas Philharmonic with guests mezzo-soprano Eugenie Grunewald, tenor Nathan Brian Wine, clarinetist Shelley Hanson, the Adelson Educational Campus Choir and others will be at 8 p.m. Oct. 12 at Artemus Ham Hall on the University of Nevada, Las Vegas campus, 4505 S.
