Water Cooler: Tyson, medical marijuana, TomKat, ‘god particle’

Here are a few thing in news, entertainment and pop culture that caught our eye last week.

■ Mike Tyson tells TV host Andy Cohen that Evander Holyfield’s ear "wasn’t too tasty." Well, sure, without a good marinade and 12 or 14 hours in a slow cooker.

■ Nevada is home to 3,430 people who have permission to use medical marijuana. No count of how many Nevadans just use the over-the-counter stuff.

■ Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise hammer out a divorce settlement less than two weeks after filing. If this were a cartoon, Katie would be a tiny puff of smoke off in the distance.

■ Physicists say they’ve discovered the Higgs Boson particle, aka the "God particle." Soon to be re-nicknamed the "supreme being, or not, of your choice" particle so as not to cause offense.
