U.S. education secretary to join town hall meeting
U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan will take part in a town hall meeting today about education and the economy.
The hourlong meeting, which is open to the public, begins at 10:15 a.m. at the College of Southern Nevada's Nicholas Horn Theatre, 3200 E. Cheyenne Ave., North Las Vegas.
The panel will include community leaders who will discuss education issues that affect student achievement and economic competitiveness.
Nevada System of Higher Education Chancellor Dan Klaich will moderate the discussion.
