Valley Bank of Nevada opens new full-service branch

Valley Bank of Nevada has turned a sales office into a full-service branch.

The small, North Las Vegas-based lender announced this week that it transformed a loan production office in Henderson into its second deposit-taking branch.

The outpost, 4343 E. Sunset Road near Green Valley Parkway, initially opened in 2015.

Valley Bank had $104 million in assets and around $93.5 million in deposits as of Sept. 30. About 75 percent of its $81 million loan portfolio was made up of real estate loans, according to Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. figures.

The bank, led by President and CEO James York, was founded in 2005 as the Bank of North Las Vegas but changed its name in 2011.
