1 hospitalized after south valley shooting

One person was hospitalized after a south valley shooting on Wednesday afternoon, and Las Vegas police are still searching for the shooter.
Metro responded at 2:38 p.m. to the 8700 block of Maryland Parkway, near Wigwam Avenue, spokeswoman Laura Meltzer said. A person was shot inside a business in the area and taken to University Medical Center. A condition was not available.
Police also could not provide more information about the person who was shot, including age and gender.
The shooter fled the scene, Meltzer said, and detectives are searching the area to identify and locate that person.
