A 14-year-old boy who was struck by a car Thursday afternoon in North Las Vegas has died, according to police.
North Las Vegas police responded to the crash about 4 p.m. at the intersection of Martin Luther King and Watercreek Drive, where the boy was crossing Martin Luther King outside a marked crosswalk when he was hit by a Nissan sport utility vehicle going northbound.
He was taken to University Medical Center in critical condition and died two days later, police said Tuesday. He was identified by the Clark County coroner’s office as Dyvionte Cromwell.
Police initially said the pedestrian was a man.
The driver of the Nissan remained on scene and was uninjured. Speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors.
This crash remains under investigation.
