A five-vehicle crash left two people dead and two others hospitalized Sunday night.
Nevada Highway Patrol responded to the wreck, on North Lamb Boulevard near Interstate 15, just before 9 p.m.
The initial investigation showed that a man traveling east on Lamb in a Toyota pickup truck hit three other vehicles at the intersection with the freeway. He may have ran a red light and he may have been driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, NHP spokesman Loy Hixson said.
That man was taken to University Medical Center with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening Sunday night, Hixson said.
Another man driving a pickup truck and a woman in a four-door Ford died as a result of the crash. A second woman who driving a Chevy Tahoe was also taken to UMC with serious injuries.
The people in the fifth vehicle involved stayed on the scene. That vehicle was hit by debris from the crash, Hixson said.
The identities of the people who died will be released by the Clark County coroner’s office after their families have been notified.
