2 juveniles arrested in arson investigation

Two juveniles were arrested in connection with an east valley blaze that fire investigators say was arson.

Las Vegas police responded about 9:45 p.m. Tuesday to a burglary at 5710 Judson Ave., near Nellis and Lake Mead boulevards, police call logs show.

The Clark County Fire Department was asked to assist about 15 minutes later because the building was an old fire station that’s no longer being used, the department said Wednesday in a news release.

First responders reported smoke coming from the roof. Crews entered the building to find the fire had moved into the attic.

Crews were able to extinguish the fire and no injuries were reported.

Investigators from the fire department classified the blaze as arson. It caused $100,000 in damages, the department said.

Information on those arrested was not immediately available.
