3 men shot near Twain and Swenson

Three men were shot Tuesday afternoon in an apartment complex on East Twain Avenue, near the intersection at Swenson Street, according to Las Vegas police.

Metro spokesman Larry Hadfield said in an email that police received a call about about the shooting at 3:56 p.m.

When officers arrived at Siegel Suites, located at 905 E. Twain Ave., they found several shell casings in the courtyard and the three wounded men, all of whom are in their 20s. They were sent to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, Metro supervisor Lt. Bruce Miyama said.

Two of the men were shot in the upper torso area and were in critical condition. The third man was hit in the arm area, Miyama said.

An apartment unit was also hit, but no one inside is believed to be injured.

Police are looking for four men in connection with the shooting, Miyama said. Witnesses told police that the men ran south and jumped a wall before getting in a newer model black sedan and driving west.

Miyama said Metro gang detectives are investigating the incident.
