6 people hospitalized, 22 displaced by apartment complex fire

At least 22 people were displaced by an apartment complex fire that sent six people to the hospital and destroyed 16 units, Clark County fire department reports.

The department responded to the fire about 1:38 a.m. Sunday at the Sandpebble Village Apartments, 4480 Sirius Avenue, near the intersection of Arville Street and Desert Inn Road.

Southern Nevada Red Cross and complex management are working to assist the displaced, who are currently in temporary shelter at Cashman Middle School, officials say.

Those in need of medical attention were transported to University Medical Center in varying conditions.

Fire investigators have not yet determined a damage estimate or cause of the fire.
