The fatal shooting of a man at an apartment complex near the Boulevard Mall Saturday followed an altercation with another man, Las Vegas police said Sunday.
Officers and a medical crew were called to the Oasis Bay Apartments, 1600 block of East Katie Avenue, near the intersection of Maryland Parkway and Twain Avenue, about 3:45 p.m., police said. There they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He later died at University Medical Center.
Police said that the man was standing next to a sports car when he and the driver began arguing. Metro has only described the shooter as a man with a dark-skin complexion.
The driver got out of the car and fired one round at the man, police said. The wounded man was able to run a short distance before falling near the apartment complex’s office.
The car was only described as a “dark colored black or gray sports car with tinted windows,” police said.
The man who was killed will be identified by the Clark County coroner’s office.
