Brush fire in Henderson forces evacuation of apartments

A brush fire Sunday evening led to the evacuation of at least a portion of an apartment complex in Henderson, but nobody was hurt and there was no damage to buildings.

The three-acre brush fire flared up just before dusk, a Henderson fire official said late Sunday.

Deputy Fire Chief Jeff Lytle said some of the trees in Eiger Ridge, which is in the vicinity of Sunset and Arroyo Grande boulevards, caught fire.

The cause is still under investigation, Lytle said.
