A pedestrian has life-threatening injuries after a crash Thursday night in the central valley, Las Vegas police said.

Metro responded on reports of the auto-versus-pedestrian crash about 6:30 p.m. to the area of Decatur Boulevard and Evergreen Avenue, between Charleston Boulevard and Alta Drive, Lt. Nate Chio said.

Chio said the pedestrian’s injuries were extensive.

Police said just before midnight Thursday the pedestrian, a 70-year-old man, was still in critical condition.

The 60-year-old driver who struck the man stayed at the scene and did not show signs of impairment, police said.
