The motorcycle rider killed in a Saturday afternoon crash on state Route 160 has been identified.
William Martin Hoach, 59, was from Las Vegas, the Clark County coroner’s office said. He died of multiple blunt-force injuries. The coroner’s office ruled his death an accident.
The crash happened about 1:15 p.m. in the southbound lanes near mile marker 19, just past Mountain Springs, Nevada Highway Patrol trooper Jason Buratczuk said; Hoach died at the scene.
It’s unclear what brought the 2006 Harley-Davidson down, but Buratczuk said a witness saw Hoach speeding before the crash.
