Coroner identifies 2 killed in Saturday crash

The two men who were killed in a vehicle-motorcycle crash Saturday were identified Sunday by the Clark County coroner’s office.

Michael Don Tavis Savery, 27, of Las Vegas and Ederabo Jaramillo-Pedrasa, 27, died after a collision about 12:40 p.m. Saturday on Valley View Boulevard near Desert Inn Road, Las Vegas police said.

Police responded to Valley View and Capella Avenue where a Nissan Altima turning south onto Valley View from Capella was hit by a Yamaha motorcycle. The motorcycle and car stayed together when they rolled over, police said.

The driver of the car and the driver of the motorcycle both died at the scene, police said. It was not immediately clear which man was driving which vehicle.

The passengers of the car, a 30-year-old woman and 19-month-old boy were taken to University Medical Center. The woman had minor injuries and the child’s injuries were described as moderate by police.

Witnesses told police the driver of the Yamaha was driving recklessly and at a high speed.

These were the 87th and 88th traffic-related deaths in Metro’s jurisdiction this year.
