A man was shot and killed early Tuesday in the west Las Vegas Valley.
The Clark County coroner’s office identified the man as 28-year-old Las Vegan Jason Remer.
Police are looking for the man who shot Remer from a car about 1 a.m., according to a Metro press release.
First responders found Remer suffering from a gunshot wound in the 7600 block of Calico Vista Boulevard, near the intersection of Washington Avenue and Buffalo Drive, Metro Lt. Michael Bechler said. The shooting happened outside.
Remer was walking with two other people when they were approached by an unknown vehicle.
After a brief conversation, the driver of the car shot Remer, then fled in his car, the release said.
Remer died later at University Medical Center, Bechler said.
Police said the shooter was last seen driving a dark-colored sedan with tinted windows.
The cause of shooting remains under investigation.
This is the 21st homicide of 2015 in Metro’s jurisdiction.
